I turned to Reiki when my stress levels were unimageable; tensions headaches which were disabling, teeth grinding leading to a locked out jaw and teeth guard, constantly feeling like a weight was hanging over me. A chance meeting with a friend at work; as these things happen in the Universe!
My main symptoms gone after one session, managed long term, and the mindsets and lifestyle which created them changed over the coming months and years.
I am passionate about passing this wisdom on, in a friendly and professional way to others. If all of us went through a healing apprenticeship of some sort, we would find the planet would change in inconceivable ways. I do this with Reiki 1 workshop, as it is now called.
Reiki is a Japanese healing system, developed by Mikao Usui in the late 19th century. The system is founded on his discoveries from the Ancient Indian Sutras, written thousands of years ago.
It continues to evolve and change; it has in me and it will do in others.
To learn, through a teacher who you admire and respect, just as we would have done for thousands of years, the quiet child with her weekly lesson at the elderly herbalist’s house at the edge of the village, the wild child with her irregular wander down to the crone’s house, the child who looked at the world through obtuse eyes with hisregular walk down to the house of the sage and hermit. We no longer get picked out of crowds or noticed when we are birthed. Instead we choose, as adults, to take part in an apprenticeship which is like no other.
To get a foundation not only in the energetic understanding which underpins the Universe, but to learn about ourselves, so that we may build on the foundation back to our own hearts.
I did Rachaels Reiki 1st Degree Practitioners Workshop on the 11th Dec and from the moment I arrived I felt so cared for. Rachael is a wonderful teacher, very knowledgeable, approachable and grounded in the way she teaches and open to all questions – Loved every minute of it and look forward to doing more with Rachael in the future

Although my journey started as one of stress management, and that has unravelled throughout my life to another level of outlook which continues to allow me to function well in an unnatural world, I can say for certain I would not have my children without Reiki; children I know were destined for me as my soul knew and at various times they visited, long before the inception, myself and friends as spirits.
I have freaked the same consultant out three times; once couldn’t believe that my fallopian tubes and womb were not eaten away by the endometriosis which devastated my bowels. Second time was my ridiculously quick recovery after surgery; sat hair quaffed and eating my tea when he came to check on me after three days, me packed and ready to go home. Third time when he questioned me three times after checking my file about how on earth I managed to get pregnant naturally with endometriosis to the extent that I had it; rocking his belief system for just a second when he put it all down to coincidence. Can’t wait to see his face again after he recommended a hysterectomy, or at least surgery after I developed it again about 5 years ago; not only are my scans clear now, my three year old is running around!
I tell my story to new healers. I can’t wait to hear their stories; how this changes their life. How this rocks their own particular pathway in ways that doesn’t just impact them, but seeps out like a flowering vine across the grass into the world surrounding them.
