Roisin; the Dark Rose

A look at one of the Banshee Celtic Goddesses Rachael has been working with extensively including a beautiful channelled visualisation where you can feel experience the healing first hand.

When the Banshee came to me she associated herself with the Briar Rose. She kept giving them to me when we finished working together.

Vibrationally the highest flower, still beautiful but wild and natural. A flower stood in its authenticity, rather than being bred into another version of herself. Still with her prickles and her ability to flourish anywhere, her delicate beauty still evident.

At this time I also began to see a Banshee stood by the cliff edge in the dark, blowing rose petals out to see. Initially a little off in the distance, at the edge. At about this time of year, as the dark nights drew in and I started to feel the lack of sunlight and the energetic downturn that inevitably comes with that for me, she came close. She introduced herself as Roisin.

When I did a little research I found some evidence for her being recognised as a Goddess at some point, long forgotten. And a metaphor used in a very famous poem about Ireland herself. One which I use within my book for connection and reflection.

She told me she stood at the water’s edge, calling out to sea for lost souls. The vibration she sent being that of the rose itself. She is associated with those that loose their lives to the sea and those that take their own lives.

She is not afraid of the dark. She calls us to seek her out, so she may find the darkness within us and shines a light on it. So we may see those parts of us we reject, are not as bad as we think they are. That actually, when looked at through her rose tinted glass, they are very beautiful.

She shows it to you, so you may see the beauty of its pain, heal the scars as though it were never there and see yourself for the beautiful wild rose you are in your heart.

She gives me this visualisation for you to heal with.

Love as always

Healing Visualisation Exercise

Energetically, with the dark evenings, this is the season to reflect upon what the last year has shown you. So you can let go of what you need to, in order to ready the ground to sow fresh seeds before Spring. Only by getting rid of the old, can you make space for the new.

Sit in the quiet, light a candle, ask for your guides or whatever it is you do to forge your connection.

In the quiet, ask for Roisin to step forward. Allow yourself to walk across the green grass, into the mist. You’ll hear her voice before you see her. As the mist clears you’ll see her stood, looking out to see, in her dark cloak. She turns to you and smiles.

She reaches out her hand and you take it. You stand and look out to sea together, smelling the cleansing salt of the ocean.

She begins to sing, and you she does, you see the ripples move out across the waves. But you realise that she is singing your song, she talks of your wows, and you see that the ripples emanate not from her, but from you.

Spend as long as you need to with her, allowing your burden to be released. Understanding why you’ve been through what you’ve been through. Forgiving yourself and others. Feeling yourself grow from the experience, as you see your own part in your story.

When you are ready, thank her, bid get farewell knowing you can come back to this place whenever you need. Come back to yourself, back to your reality, with her song in your heart.

Ground yourself, drink a glass of water and make notes where you need to.
